Matsuya and Sukiya have apps that can be used to order meals in their restaurants. 

Matsuya requires you to enter the seat number while Sukiya scans the QR code on the seat's tablet. 

It is worth mentioning that Sukiya usually has a HUAWEI tablet on the table, and you can use the tablet to order meals.

Also, you can use the vending machine to buy food coupons in Matsuya. Restaurants in Japan basically have vending machines which are friendly to foreigners. Even if you don't know any Japanese, it doesn't affect your eating in restaurants.
